- general higher education qualification (Abitur)
- subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (fachgebundene Hochschulreife)
- advanced technical college certificate (Fachhochschulreife)
- master craftsman’s qualification or equivalent (including a mandatory consultation meeting)

To arrange consultation meetings, please contact the academic advisor Dipl.-Kfm. Elmar Kemmer.
More information about admission requirements and procedures is available from the FHWS website: Information about admission of qualified professionals.
In addition to possessing a university entrance qualification you will have to prove certain language skills in order to be enrolled. If you intend to study in English, prove of English language proficiency of the level B2 and prove of German language proficiency of the level A2 is necessary.
Applicants from abroad
For international students, the conditions vary widely from country to country. The most important stipulation for recognition in Germany is that the level of education after completing the school-leaving qualification must be approximately comparable to the German general higher education qualification (Abitur). Please note that it might be necessary to complete further studies in your home country after obtaining your school-leaving qualification to be eligible to study in Germany.
On the website of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) you can check the admission requirements depending on your country of origin. Information is also available in the database of the Standing Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder (Kultusministerkonferenz, KMK) available at www.anabin.kmk.org. Please note, however, that this database is currently only available in German. For some countries, Uni-assist.de offers information on the specific requirements for admission to higher education in Germany.
Please apply online. Information about and links to the online application portal are available from the pages of the Department of Student Affairs (HSST).
Please absolutely stick to the general application deadlines of FHWS, even if you cannot submit all required documents yet. Applications received after the deadline will unfortunately not be considered!
For information about fees, please visit the pages of the Department of Student Affairs.
