Appointment as professor

With effect from 01 October 2017 I was appointed professor at the FHWS.

Scientific career

In addition to my legal studies in Heidelberg, I obtained my master's degree in business law in France made at the University of Montpellier in 1992 (Maitre en droit de l'entreprise). As an assistant to my future doctoral supervisor Jean-Marc Mousseron, I held lectures in German law in the academic year 1995/1996. In the year 2000 the Rigorosum of my French doctoral thesis took place in Montpellier. In the following years I had teaching assignments in Montpellier and Strasbourg, and I also taught at the university Mannheim.

Professional Career

After completing my french apprenticeship in 1992, I worked in a law firm in Strasbourg/France and thus co-financed my studies in Heidelberg. After graduation of the German legal education I was in a medium-sized law firm in Pforzheim, Germany with a focus on intellectual property law and IT law. From 2003 to 2017, I worked as head of the legal department / General Council of GFT Technologies SE, a listed international IT service provider.

Social commitment

I work as a mentor in the FiV (Women in Responsibility) programme, a programme to promote and support women in management positions. I am also involved in the non-profit association Puls of Europe, which is committed to a cosmopolitan and united Europe. I am also a member of the Gesellschaft für Recht und Informatik (Society for Law and Informatics: Corporate lawyers, software protection, telecommunications and law, contract law).
